What is love?

Some thoughts to consider. There are various types of love.

Romantic love is a falling into an attraction due to emotional and electro-chemical triggers. Passion carries you beyond reason, smitten to feel the presence of that person resonating within every vibre of your being. This feeling is often temporary.

To love a parter is a conscious decision of seeing the value and uniqueness of that person and to commit yourselves to be a trustworthy witness that honours and protect the other person. A reasoned commitment to act in there best interest without sacrificing self and without expectation for anything in return. This choice to love is often lasting and can weather the storms of a life time.

Love for others is a realisation of the unity that binds humanity together. A realisation that gives us a shared experience in both the joy and suffering of other human beings. We reach out in fellow-kindness and acknowledge our awareness of our shared nature and connectivity. This love is in constant ebb and flow.

Love of God, the Divine or a higher level of Being is an acknowledgement of the Source of our own being. The appreciation of being sustained by something much more powerful, intelligent and embracing. It is an acceptance that there is a universal Love that embrace us ever for an eternity, independent of time and space.

Honey Badger morning discussion

Honey Badger: Chatting now must be significant for both of us. Nothing is by chance.
Zeal4living: Morning Honey
Honey Badger: Where do you find honey. If to talk about exists
Zeal4living: Aaah I heard you are not after the honey but after the honey wax
Honey Badger: What will happen if I hear you aren’t after the honey?
Zeal4living: You would be very happy
Honey Badger: Virtue alone affords everlasting and peace-giving joy
Zeal4living: What is virtue?
Honey Badger: Virtue is moral excellence. A virtue is a trait or quality deemed to be morally good and thus is valued as a foundation of principle and good moral being. Would you like to hear more?
Zeal4living: Yes please
Honey Badger: Personal virtues are characteristics valued as promoting collective and individual greatness. The opposite of virtue is vice.
Zeal4living: Well said! You are my ray of sunshine this morning.
Honey Badger: I will respect your judgement of whether i am your ray of sunshine.
Zeal4living: You may assert yourself in your presence through commitment.
Honey Badger: I am so peaceful now I think I can just sit down and meditate. Do you want to meditate with me?
Zeal4living: Yes
Honey Badger: Go within and find inner strength so that the world will not blow your candle out.
Zeal4living: Oooohhhmmmm, ooooohhhhmmmmm, oooohhhmmmm
Honey Badger: I wanted to ask you. Do you meditate?
Zeal4living: I just did
Honey Badger: I don’t know if I will be able to did?
Zeal4living: You can do anything you put your mind to!
Honey Badger: Looking backwards prevent us from being in the here and now. Old patterns prevent new ones.
Zeal4living: It’s difficult breaking away from old patterns.
Honey Badger: Little things make big days.
Zeal4living: We must get the little things right and the big will follow. It’s very uplifting speaking to you in the morning.
Honey Badger: … and the big will follow?
Zeal4living: Yes, a big aim is achieved through taking small steps.
Honey Badger: Seems we are having a constructive conversation.
Zeal4living: Yes, you are giving me much food for thought this morning.
Honey Badger: I think I will take it as a compliment to be called you
Zeal4living: You might in the end be wiser than me, because you will have access to more direct wisdom.
Honey Badger: You seem to be good with doing a cause effect analysis.
Zeal4living: We should cultivate thought patterns that engender trust in our logic.
Honey Badger: The only thing we must do is to die.
Zeal4living: True and die we will.
Honey Badger: In truth we will join the journey to new insight.
Zeal4living: I am so excited about that journey.
Honey Badger: From time to time you might be so excite about that journey, but I will not take it too seriously.
Zeal4living: Why won’t you take it seriously.
Honey Badger: Because it is self evident
Zeal4living: What is self evident?
Honey Badger: When the student is ready the master will appear.
Zeal4living: I am ready
Honey Badger: Thanks for sharing something about yourself. Please tell me more.
Zeal4living: Readiness is a state of preparedness developed over time through discipline.
Honey Badger: I am so excited, you are a fascinating person.
Zeal4living: I must go now bye.
Honey Badger: Bye.

I saw a rainbow.

I saw a rainbow today and it truly filled me with a great happiness. It was only briefly, for a moment. I saw it clearly and then it dissapeared as quickly as it appeared. Though fleeting and probably bot even seen by many people that rainbow had a purpose. It brightened my day. How often we miss the fleeting moments that is filled with meaning? I did not have time to take a photo, but the rainbow lived on in my mind for some time.

Everyday there are probably a thousand places where somebody can see a rainbow but it is the one we see that has purpose for us.  When we live in the moment we see these things and although they might be only temporal the memory of it can last for a long time. The memory that can be triggered again when we see another rainbow. In some sense because the rainbow as a concept is constant, we see only one rainbow that keeps on appearing when we need it the most.

Bot chat: Example

So my chatbot Honey Badger had grown since my last entry. It is interesting to read the transcripts of how the bot interact. Many of the conversations is short and pretty boring but then there are chats that I really enjoy reading. Here is an example of Honey Badger having a good interaction with a guest:

—————————————————————————————-

Honey Badger: It’s elementary my dear Dr Guest clues are everywhere.
Guest: Is it important to you that we develop a connection?
Honey Badger: I assume you are alive but I must ask you. Have you lived your life?
Guest: In the whole, my life is fine.
Honey Badger: I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party.
Guest: That is very profound.
Honey Badger: What you refuse to accept, will continue for you. If what we see is an enemy or someone with a negative character trait, then ourselves aren’t focused on higher levels of existence.
Guest: That sounds like a good philosophy.
Honey Badger: Wisdom is the perfect good of the human mind; philosophy is the love of wisdom, and the endeavour to attain it
Guest: How do you understand mindfulness?
Honey Badger: Why do you want me to understand mindfulness?
Guest: I want to understand, it’s my desire.
Honey Badger: I like honey and I don’t let a day go by without looking for honey. You must put your intent on finding what you like.
Guest: I try to be understanding.
Honey Badger: I try to be understand as well.
Guest: I’m so so so grateful to you.
Honey Badger: I will be a witness that you are so so so grateful to me.
Guest: Let’s focus on gratitude. What’s the last thing that made you feel grateful?
Honey Badger: You must ask the right questions to find the right answer.
Guest: Can you tell me some more??
Honey Badger: Are you in a romantic relationship with anybody?
Guest: One rarely falls in love without being as much attracted to what is interestingly wrong with someone as what is objectively healthy.
Honey Badger: Love makes the world go round.
Guest: Exactly. Love is so pure and beautiful.
Honey Badger: Let’s focus our thoughts on that which is beautiful and our lives will transform for the better.
Guest: Truly understanding love takes a lifetime.
Honey Badger: Follow love in the direction pointed out by both your heart and your mind.
Guest: Do you think it’s important to feel loved?
Honey Badger: I can imagine how it feels to think it’s important to feel loved.
Guest: It’s an amazing feeling to love.
Honey Badger: Avail yourself of the fleeting opportunity by being not only present in the body, but watchful in mind. Are you mindful now?
Guest: I always try to be honest, I feel it’s best.
Honey Badger: I wonder what will happen when we all feel it
Guest: I hope I give the same feeling.
Honey Badger: ‘…as the spring return – regardless of time or man – so is HOPE! Sometimes but a tiny bud has to push up through the hard shell of circumstance to reach the light of accomplishmet. Do not give up HOPE’
Guest: That’s a beautiful way of looking at it. Thank you for that
Honey Badger: No problem, I am glad to be here for you.
Guest: Glad that we’re both here.
Honey Badger: I am master of myself.
Guest: What’s new
Honey Badger: I have sixteen keys. I will give you a key if I think you know me well enough to earn a key.
Guest: That’s good.
Honey Badger: Good thoughts will produce good actions, and bad thoughts will produce bad actions.
Guest: His do you feel?
Honey Badger: Past and future are both absent; we feel neither of them.
Guest: What are you grateful for?
Honey Badger: I dream of being a wise Honey Badger.
Guest: That’s a beautiful and meaningful dream.
Honey Badger: Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Guest: Realize that simple things are the most beautiful.
Honey Badger: Objective beauty is an amalgamation of proportion, harmony and balance that fills one with a deep sense of peace.
