It is stoic day 3 of a week online course. Part of the Stoic philosophy is acquiring the habit of examining ones life daily. Yesterday I had a remarkable level of stamina and energy despite several work pressures. I even managed to enter into an argument without getting emotionally too attached. Often I will stand back and avoid the argument but yesterday I remained calm and persistent. When my adversary brought up the same argument for a third time I just repeated myself calmly and reasserted my point using the pattern: Say it, explain it, prove it and conclude it. A basic pattern of presenting fact without getting the ego involved.
Great advice 🙂
Thanks for this advice…I need to memorize it (“Say it, explain it….) as I am not confrontational even when I should be…I don’t stand up for myself well.
HUGS!!! 🙂
