I have started with an online Reiki course and the following two principles struck me as I was listening to the videos :
- What you do impact on a countless number of people so never underestimate your influence.
- Our soul sees each event as an opportunity to grow and strengthen.
The first relates to the virtue of justice in that we must always be ready to understand our impact and ensure its fairness. We may never disregard our impact on the world and the people around us. When we begin to realize that we have such an unlimited impact we will be more motivated each day to live life to its fullest. We can guide our actions with positive intent and act in confidence that there will be positive ripple effect, whether we see it or not. It is impossible to be fully aware of our full impact on people that look upon our actions. Therefore we have to focus every effort to express the best of what we wish to be.
The second again relates to the virtue of courage where we do not discount any circumstance or event as negative but sees everything as an opportunity for the soul to express itself. We might perceive an event as bad because it renders our life with difficulty or pain but each also has the potential to allow us to test our wit to live virtuously.
If we can understand our impact on people and the opportunity hidden in every circumstance we can begin to live our full potential.
