Taking up the runes with purpose

Like branches of the World Tree, Yggdrasil [a giant tree in Norse mythology believed to connect all worlds], Norse mythology stretches across vast lands and countless winters, its tales whispered from hearth to hearth. Unlike the Judeo-Christian world, where a single scripture holds dominion, these myths are a tapestry woven from the threads of diverse cultures.

Among the runes, whispers of wisdom carried on the wind, there are many paths. Some, like the worn paths of travelers, are well-trodden, while others meander like hidden streams. Yet, all the runes, like veins of silver in the rock, share a common purpose: to channel energies that mirror the world they touch.

The Armanen runes, born from deep reflection on the Havamal’s [a collection of poems containing wisdom verses attributed to the Norse god Odin] verses, are a wellspring of practical wisdom. They are not merely etched symbols, but keys that unlock the runes’ secrets, guiding those who seek knowledge and growth.
As Odin himself proclaims when claiming the runes, “Now I begin to increase, grow wise and feel well.”  So too, should we approach the runes – with wisdom and purpose, to bring healing, growth, and well-being to the world.
