30,000 people were impacted by heavy rainfall and strong winds this past weekend. Apparently the water base rose causing detrimental living conditions. Calls were sent out for assistance, providing clothes and blankets.
As usual the rain also causes havoc on the roads.

Our home in north Florida now has very hot weather – On monday, we flew up here to Maine – where we wil stay until October. The temp here is pretty foggy and chilly – we have our heaters on! The rest of the US is pretty much having a heat wave I’ll check here frequently

That sounds dreadful. In the UK, we have had a fair bit of damaging weather, killing a couple of people in the floods. However “civilised” the society, Mother Nature’s hand can throw us into chaos.
