MAN – EH – TYR

The rune MAN represents the opening up to divine energy, the rune EH represents the uniting of the spiritual and the material, and the rune TYR represents the willingness to sacrifice.

When we take action from a higher perspective, we are more likely to be successful. When we unite the spiritual and the material, we are more likely to create a lasting impact. And when we are willing to sacrifice, we are more likely to achieve our goals.

Karl Maria Willigut

I am reading Stephen Flowers’ book “The Secret King” on Karl Maria Willigut. I think of him as a forgotten rune master. He is according to the author the closest we can come to the occult of Nazi Germany. Indeed his association with the Nazis had thrown him into the pages of obscurity. It was after his death that the Nazis went amok.

In any case I was fascinated by this old master. It is easy for us to reject something and forget the context within which something was written. Of course with hindsight we can see error and we have the responsibility to look at material with fresh eyes. We are after all not caught in the same epoch than the writer.

The base model of spirit, energy and matter is similar to the ontology of Rosicrucian creation. I so think it is worth for me to give more attention to his writings and even to copy something into my spiritual journal.

Runes, feeling and the 5 Reiki principles

Every morning I do the 5 Reiki principles , since I did the course in Reiki. I have not yet found a simpler and quicker way to imbue the day with meaning. In our practice of magic we look for the most efficient and effective methods to apply in our lives.

The bottom line is that with my studies I found that feeling the runes is an important part of this rune practise. When starting with FA saying “I will not worry, I live with enthusiasm” , I focus on the surging feeling of enthusiasm. In the beginning this was not as obvious but with the discipline of a daily practice the ability of feeling the feeling increases.

Emotions are closely connected with our astral being and it’s so much more important for us to imbue our physical lives with positive emotions. I used to think of emotions as reactions to life. Life happens and then an emotion follows. However for those who understand our true nature as being energetic, emotions are first generated as cause that drives how we approach life.

In summary, the practice, of the 5 Reiki principles with the runes, is effective. Feeling the emotions, connected with virtue, is powerful in the development of our being.

Using Rune frequencies

Hearing is one of our 5 physical senses through which we interact with the objective world. When we aim to live life fully we must master the skill of bringing all our senses to a hightened state but keeping a harmonious balance between our attention given to each of the senses.

Sound has long been considered as having an effect on our health and well-being. Karl Welz identified various frequencies for each of the sacred 18 Runes. I have experimented with these frequencies and the outcomes are so far very promising.

I use a frequency generator app to generate these frequencies while performing the various rune postures. The frequency sound seems to improve my ability to hold my balance and to focus more on the specific Rune. It seems to be especially helpful when holding a rune posture like RIT while closing the eyes to place the focus on the inner eye. I am interested in observing the sympathy between a Rune and its frequency as opposed to the Rune and another frequency. I suspect working with specific associations between Runes and their frequencies will have the benefits of entrainment. The sound will then be a trigger to help me move more rapidly into the energetic feeling of the Rune and enforce the associated meaning of each Rune. Another powerful effect of the frequency sound is that it is easier to mimic the sound frequency while chanting.

In conclusion I am looking forward to learn more about the impact of sound

THORN: Today I strengthen my ability to project

Without will we are aimless. As conscious beings we have the ability to have influence on the how the future will play out and unfold. We can use this ability or we can just flow with the stream trough time and be dragged along with it. When we take up THORN as the third rune of the Armanen Futhork we accept responsibility of our lives and the way it unfolds. Certainly not everything will unfold exactly as we hope it to be but it can manifest as we intent it to be. But intention is not just a projection on the outer world, intention is set within, a change within an that change projects a change into the external world. In order to set our intent from the inner world we need our inner world to be illuminated from within, we need to become in touch with the soul that is our true self resident in the physical body.

When we practice THORN we are empowered by a strong self confidence that we have power to influence and shape the future. THORN is more than just planning a future, it is having a clear visualization of all senses of what that future will look like and how it will be experienced. Planning might set out steps to follow but THORN ask for a projection from within our inner being into the external world of living action.  With THORN there is no regret when the world seems to oppose the idea of our ideals but rather it is a challenge we accept with a happy hard. We link into the force of THORN to overcome obstacles in the physical world and remain constant in that which we wish to manifest. THORN brings within us a patience that waits for the right moment of manifestation, the right moment when we need to act and the moment when we need to pause. We have a wide array of means to our disposal and all we need to do is to connect the right moment with the right action. Often the action is not in accord with the physical world but in accord with what we sense in our inner being as the right action that might seem counter intuitive and yet still forcefully moving forward.

We accept responsibility for who we are and make no excuses for our weaknesses. We strengthen our weaknesses and leverage our strengths as we persist to build who we want to be. Achievement on the physical level of a goal is like an alchemist’s attainment of gold and yet realizing that gold was not the end goal. The end goal is the elixir of life, the philosopher’s stone the clothing of our soul with virtue.  With THORN we see beyond the physical constraints and achievements and we embrace that which we are as spirit and soul.  We evolve the essence of our inner being.  In this path there is no resistance, every resistance is but an enabler that allows us to focus on the inner world that is the core of strength, the fortitude of growth.

When you are young you may feel that it is a natural process because the doors of possibility is always open. However it is easy to loose faith in yourself when you become older, time to attain decreases and energy levels begin to wane. But with THORN as a crystal in the crown that is upon my head there is a continued process of growth. For what I want to attain is not external in the form of fame, and riches but it is about reaching a state of being and knowledge based on virtue. It is laying a foundation not just for this life but for every future life that is to be lived.
